Pub Brunch

this is an audio post - click to play

Last week we had Sunday brunch and bowling, so we decided to go to an Irish pub this time. Molly Macguire's was a lot of fun. They had a traditional Irish Sesheion where anyone who had an insturment joined in to play. They ended up with one bohdrun, 4 fiddles, a banjo, a guitar, a mini-bag-pipe thing, and a guy who played several different flutes. Very cool!

Poulsbo Weekend

I got out of class early on Saturday (3:20 instead of the usual 4:45) and John and I packed our saddlebags and headed out for the peninsula.

Here we are on the ferry to Bainbridge Island.

I feel like I have a big alien head.

Here we are at the beach at low tide - cool!

There's John exploring the tide pools on the sandy side of the bay.

Look - a recently deceased crab!

Oohhh - acorn barnacles and a sea snail of some sort (nice aliteration). Yup, those hard rocky looking things actually have live animals in them.

Tide Pool

Tide Pool with illustrated arrows so you know what you are looking at.

Sand Dollars - they are a deep magenta when they are alive.

John's bike. Cool, hu?

At Shilshole

It's a record. I went a whole month without a new posting! I rode out to Shilshole Bay on my motorcycle this evening and missed the sunset by about 10 minutes. Here are the shots I did manage to get. Some of them are Photoshoped (obviously).
