Staff Party in Roslyn

After the LONG night at Willows Lodge, John and I headed to Roslyn - just over the Cascade Mountains for my staff end of year party. Two people are retiring and several others are leaving so it was a "going away" party as well. We got there at about 2:00 and went to the brewery to pick up the key to our room at the Huckleberry House B&B.


Then we went up the road a bit to Ronald where the party was taking place. There was a LOT of food, beer, and a strange substance called YUCCA made with leomonade and vodka. I was not feeling up to consuming any alcohol so I stuck to the sodas.

Too much happening

There has been so much happening lately that I can't keep up, much less journal about it. Let's start with Friday night, June 4th and my end of program/graduation banquet. It was held at Willows Lodge in Woodinville. I rushed form work, picked John up in Redmond, and we headed to Woodinville where I stopped to get a little tan (very necessary since my dress was black and skin was REALLY white). We checked in and enjoyed the luxurious room for a while before heading down for social hour.

We wandered and talked and sipped wine.

Then went to visit the animals. There are 2 pigs and 2 ducks in a pen in the garden. We have a video of the pigs getting excited and chasing the ducks, strange, I know, but fun anyway.

After that was dinner, speeches, and awards. I received a Dean's Award with a gift certificate from Amazon.com. Everyone was also recognized for some personality quirk or funny thing they did. I was famous for getting everyone back on track when they had strayed or got a bit too wild - the eternal teacher.

All the while we drank more wine.....Then we walked over to Redhook and drank more. Very bad idea. Janelle took many pictures as well and recorded some of the crazier antics that went on after we went to bed. Click here to see more.

I don't get it. I am still in class and now we are watching a Saturday Night Live skit featuring a guy playing cow bell....uhhhh...why am I here?

It's done!

Turned in the last project and I am currently sitting in my last class. Not really sure whay he is bothering talking to us - we are not paying attention and are in the mood for champagne - yes we had a champagne toast. Friday we have the big celebration banquet at Willows Lodge in Woodenville, Saturday is the big end of year party for Tolt at a teacher's house in Roslyn. Cool! I need more champagne.
